The Review

I want to start by informing everyone that is about to set on the journey which is Yes, Master this is not for the faint hearted and this does contain distressing material relating to abuse. At times this can be quite graphical. I just wanted to make all of you aware of such content which is what Margaret McHeyzer also indicates in her synopsis. Please also be aware that this content should not be read by anyone under the age of eighteen years.

Ok .... Now for the review. After reading the prologue I had an indication that I may find some of the context in this book difficult, I work within mental health and know that this topic that Margaret McHeyzer rights about in her book is very real. Many of you may lead a sheltered life and not be exposed to such information but this does happen in society and to many young victims. I love that the author has chosen such sensitive information to write about and I can truly say that she has done any victims who have suffered abuse justice about ways they may feel or experience at some point in there lives.

Ryan is now an adult who is living with his history of abuse at the hands of his uncle, he stays very true to his character and you can feel the turmoil in which he feels with in his own mind. He finds his best friend attractive and struggles with his emotions, trying to fight off his demons.

This is a standalone novel so there is no cliff hanger and you see Ryan work through his troubles through out the entire book, there are times where you wish he would let people in and there are times where you want to give him a pat on the back. He doesn't resolve any of his issues in the trivial was but does find his counseling with in his master! I have to say that is where the fun begins! This is the first book I have experienced with m/m sexual encounters and I have to say it think it was very VERY hot! Scorching HOT! This has a nice combination of m/m f/f and m/f, but my god if there is one thing that Margaret has down to a complete tee its her amazing attention to detail! You feel as though you are there watching them and literally seeing the sweat radiating off the characters! My god .... a word of warning read with a bedroom window open within the middle of a snow storm because you will need to cool off!

I have to say even though up on commencing reading this book I was a little worried that maybe it was even to dark for me! I thoroughly enjoyed it and got a great sense of pride along Ryan's Journey to gaining his freedom from himself. A great journey by a talented author who will truly test your comfort zones!

I have to mention like every time when reviewing the books my pet hate was not present! Typo's I hate them with a passion but this book has been well edited and it sure as hell shows .... so are you looking for something to test your boundaries and comfort zones? Make you want to either jump on your hubby or get out B.O.B? This book will certainly tick all your boxes!

If you're like me, I think the best part of a romance book is how they finally come together. Almost all of them have issues and things to overcome but I like my happy endings.
