Trust me - The Trust Me Trilogy

KE Osborn

Synopsis

Trust meJenifer Taylor is content with her life, dull and boring as it is. Being absent from the dating scene means she doesn't have to deal with the major trust issues she has with men that stem from a controlling and aggressive ex-boyfriend and an absentee father. She's happy being alone, sharing her life with her friends and family.

When Jeni starts a typical day in the big city of Mornington Vale, California, it turns from bad to worse when she’s involved in a chain collision on her way to work.

Her world changes forever that day because she meets Aiden O'Connell, the billionaire son of Alistair O’Connell, who owns Mornington Vale's largest financial corporation. Aiden is an up-and-coming young businessman who's ready to take on the vice presidency of his father's company. He is the good son, and it's imperative to Alistair that Aiden succeed and follow in his footsteps. Life for Aiden involves working hard and not much else.

After the accident, however, Aiden's world changes as well. He finds Jeni irresistible and instantly pursues her. With some coaxing, she eventually agrees to a date, and the attraction is mutual.

Jeni finds love quickly with Aiden, but trusting him is another issue. When to trust is tested in many different ways but comes to a head when Aiden is investigated for a serious crime. As her trust issues spark, she is forced to go through a journey of self-discovery.

She must decide once and for all whether she trusts the man she loves when she's asked the ultimate question: "Do you trust me?"

The Review

This is an amazing story based on a young girls search to finding how to trust the male race again. I want to begin by saying that although the story starts out as a boy meets girl, it is by far from that as you read more. Jeni finds it difficult to trust, I'm sure many of you can relate. Aidan has trouble of his own from a father who is arrogant and in no respects fit the perfect role model of a father. Aidan literally comes crashing in to Jeni's life in more than one way. Neither of them ever imagined falling for each other so quickly.

There were moments in this book that were hilarious and had me laughing to myself (gaining some very strange looks from my son). I have to say my favourite laugh out loud funny moment was this; "I've heard so much about you, Sarah. Just so you know, I do read all our works emails, and I've just figured out way too much about my son's sex life." KE Osborn has surprised me this has a very unique story line that was completely unexpected and not something you would imagine in a romance novel. I have to say the story line works very well and draw's you in the further along you progress in the story. I love the characters in the story I have to say I think these are currently one of my favourite couples they feel "real", I hope this makes sense to you all. Towards the end of the story my husband was giving me some strange looks as the tears filled me eyes with all the emotions that poor Jeni was experiencing. KE Osborn does a wonderful job in drawing you in throughout the first book and making your understand her characters, this helps build compassion from the audience and gain emotions from the readers at crucial points. I had some major Panda eyes towards the end!

There are many love making scenes throughout the book but again these aren't overdone and they are not overly repetitive. I have to say I like the intimate moments but did feel there was something missing, maybe this was because I enjoy very descriptive intimate scenes and I love "dirty talk". This is based on my personal preference; everyone's preferences in these scenes are very different. This however is the only thing for me that I could even begin to find some fault with, and then it is very much "nit picking". I couldn't even find any of my pet hates, typo's.

Like many other first books in a trilogy it starts slow but I do have to say that it is well worth the wait! Once I finish reading this book all I wanted to do was to pick up Love Me? And find out what happens next. This story does end on a bit of a cliff hanger but you do not have to wait long for the next in the series as it's out now, big bonus there! I believe that if you didn't read this book you would be certain to miss out on a wonderful story based around real life situations and real life emotions.

Than you KE Osborn, for a wonderful book you have however given me very high expectations of book two and I look forward to reading it; I think this may have to come before a lot on my TBR list as I'm feeling a major book hangover! I feel like I have to know more, I NEED to know what comes next.
